7th Installer Day Brought Together Leading Telecom Industry Experts and Partners
The seventh Installer and Network Enhancement Day, organized by Ibis Instruments, was held on June 4, 2026, at the Corso Ancora Restaurant on the Sava River promenade in Belgrade. The event gathered a large number of installers, technicians, engineers, and telecommunications professionals from Serbia and across the region, once again confirming the importance of this gathering as a platform for knowledge exchange, experience sharing, and insight into the latest technological advancements. Compared to previous years, the program was expanded with a special focus on 5G networks, electromagnetic exposure management, and modern optical technologies.

Modern Networks, EMF Measurements and New Optical Technologies
The professional part of the program was opened by renowned speakers from VIAVI Solutions, Fujikura, and Ibis Instruments, who presented the latest trends and challenges in the development of modern telecommunications networks through a series of presentations.
In the segment dedicated to optical technologies, participants had the opportunity to hear from Sean Wade, representative of Fujikura, who presented the latest trends in optical network development and showcased the capabilities of the new Fujikura 100S fusion splicer. The presentation also included an overview of the latest innovations in fiber splicing and optical infrastructure maintenance.
This year’s event gained additional value through the participation of Genis Sanchez, an expert from VIAVI Solutions, who presented the topic “5G Network Performance and EMF Exposure,” with a particular focus on the practical challenges of measuring 5G network performance and managing electromagnetic exposure. During the presentation, attendees were introduced to the capabilities of the VIAVI ONA 800 platform, as well as modern approaches to 5G infrastructure verification and optimization.
The topic of electromagnetic exposure was further explored by Sanja Marković from Ibis Instruments through an overview of Wavecontrol solutions and the most important EMF-related challenges faced by operators and contractors during the deployment and maintenance of modern mobile networks.
The program concluded with a presentation by Milorad Sarić from Ibis Instruments, who shared current technological solutions and practical field experience, focusing on more efficient deployment and maintenance of optical networks.

Fiber Splicing Competition – Speed, Precision and Experience
Following the educational sessions, the most exciting and anticipated part of the event took place – the fiber splicing competition. Competitors tested their skills in speed, precision, and splice quality, demonstrating a high level of expertise and field experience.
The competition was organized in an elimination format, with representatives from companies across Serbia and the region showcasing exceptional skills in working with optical infrastructure.

After several exciting rounds, first place was awarded to Adam Mićović from SAT Vision, who received the grand prize – a Fujikura 45S fusion splicer.
Second place went to Sedat Musliovski from Elektro Kop DOOEL, who was awarded a Fujikura CT16 cleaver, while third place was claimed by Srećko Vladisavljević from Telekom Srbija, who received a Fujikura SS05 fiber stripper.
Congratulations to the winners, as well as to all participants whose expertise, precision, and competitive spirit contributed to the quality and excitement of the competition.

Networking and Strengthening the Professional Community
Following the official program, participants continued networking during the event’s networking session. The informal atmosphere provided an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences, discuss current projects and field challenges, and establish new business connections.
Events such as this represent a valuable opportunity to connect professionals from different segments of the telecommunications industry and to share practical experience that contributes to improving the quality and efficiency of field operations.
We would like to thank all participants, speakers, partners, and guests whose presence contributed to the successful organization of the 7th Installer and Network Enhancement Day. The strong attendance, high-quality technical presentations, and excellent atmosphere once again demonstrated that the telecommunications community continues to grow and evolve alongside the technologies shaping the future of connectivity.
We look forward to seeing you next year with new topics, new challenges, and even more opportunities for learning, networking, and professional development!
