After the implementation and commissioning of new synchronization equipment, the necessary next step is dedicated to the measurements needed to assess the quality of the synchronization signal. Whether it is IP / Ethernet infrastructure, PTP packets or analog signals, measurements are performed referenced to a stable input signal and with nanosecond accuracy to UTC. Parameters such as one-way delay, jitter, packet loss, etc. present the quality of the installed architecture of synchronization equipment and transmission medium, which is eventually reflected in the accuracy of the clock at the end-user side.
