Ibis Instruments at the International Telecommunications Conference
The International Conference ‘Vision of Connectivity: Innovating Future Regulation and Security of Telecommunications,’ organized by the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services of Montenegro (EKIP) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), took place on September 23 and 24 in Budva. Numerous experts and speakers from the telecommunications field gathered for the event. This year’s forum featured a particularly interesting main theme, focusing on the development of sustainable digital infrastructure in the region and advanced telecommunications technologies.
Vision of Connectivity: Innovating Future Regulation and Security of Telecommunications
During the two-day forum, participants discussed the importance of innovation in the regulation and security of telecommunications. Special attention was given to trends in the development of digital infrastructure, regulatory strategies for new technologies, as well as improving service quality and protecting consumer rights, along with cybersecurity. The forum brought together key stakeholders from the telecommunications sector, including representatives from European regulatory agencies, ministries, electronic communication operators, and academic institutions. The event provided a unique opportunity for high-level dialogue on strategies and practices aimed at enhancing telecommunications technologies in the region.
Dialogue on Cybersecurity
Our colleague Bojan Nikolić, during the session on Sustainability and Disaster Resilience, spoke about Public Warning Systems (PWS) and Critical Event Management (CEM) as a response to the significant challenges facing modern society. He called for a dialogue on the importance of building resilient telecommunications infrastructure.
As part of the block session on Strengthening the Telecommunications Sector: Cybersecurity and Privacy, our colleague Darko Lekić brought attention to reducing IP security risks through continuous testing of protective solutions and training security expert teams to address new challenges at the national level. Together with other participants, they discussed best practices and exchanged ideas for future improvements.
Ibis Instruments had a unique opportunity to connect with industry leaders and contribute to the development of effective solutions that will shape the future of telecommunications in the region through active participation. We look forward to future gatherings, constructive dialogues, and new solutions.
