Optical Network Management System (ONMS)

Optical Network Management System (ONMS)

onms11_no1_no1.jpgONMS system allows 24-hour monitoring of optical networks, reducing the time necessary for detection and elimination of problems and increasing productivity.

Using its OTU-9500 RTU units, the system continually performs OTDR measuring and monitors optical routes. In case of problems, alarms are sent via a centralized system to an ONMS server. In this way, system administrators are timely warned of detected problems. The system continually gives information about the status of the optical network in real time and is simple to integrate into existing systems, including high-level GIS and OSS.

The system can be used for testing of active and inactive (dark) optical fibers in multimode and single-mode optical networks, as well as for measurement of DWDM system's characteristics.

Optical Fiber Mapping Software OFM-500

ofm500.jpgOFM-500 software application for design, documentation and maintenance of internal and external optical installations.

The software indicates state of the network using data entered manually or taken from other applications, like maps, pictures and drawings representing OTDR routes, or CD and PMD measurements collected in a single, centralized database.

Information is easily accessible and can be used by multiple users.

The application is designed with a fully open GIS architecture.

OFM-500 allows quick identification of the state of the network, improving management and maintenance of optical networks.

Connecting users and services with various optical facilities, OFM-500 identifies users and services affected by a problem and pinpoints its exact location. Also, it can suggest alternative optical routes.
