MTS-8000 is an advanced multiservice test platform intended for testing of latest-generation optical networks and transmission systems. The instrument is modular and supports various types of optical and transport modules for:

• OTDR measurements in multimode and single-mode optical fibers
• IL/ORL (Insertion Loss / Optical Return Loss) measurements
• PMD (Polarisation Dispersion Mode) measurements
• CD (Chromatic Dispersion) measurements
• SDH and PDH measuring
• CWDM and DWDM measurements
• Ethernet, GbEthernet and 10GbEthernet measurements

Optical modules are compatible with MTS-6000 test platform and ONMS monitoring system.

The existing MTS-5000 family of OTDR modules is also supported.

Optionally, the instrument can be equipped with a power meter for optical signals, a source of visible light, optical talk set and video probe for inspection of connectors. OFS-100/200 software is available for complete off-line analysis of optical routes and cables.

The instrument has a clear 10,4" TFT display and all interfaces needed for connection to PC and LAN. Very simple to use.
