J6840A Network Analyzer Software

The J6840A Network Analyzer Software is a powerful and versatile protocol analysis software solution used to monitor LAN and WAN/ATM network performance gathering statistical measurement data, such as network utilization, error activity, network layer utilization, node activity, as well as advance expert system and 7-layer protocol analysis. The Network Analyzer software is installed on a PC for direct packet capture of the network, or remote analysis by connecting to remote DNAs. The software also runs on the DNA MX and DNA PRO. The Network Analyzer software controls the data acquisition hardware on the platforms on which it is installed, and it can also control acquisition hardware on locally/remotely connected DNAs and remotely located PCs (using the NDIS Server).

The Network Analyzer helps network professionals with a powerful set of statistics and expert analysis in the base product. To increase test functionality in some technologies, the Network analyzer offers optional add-on applications.

J6844A Telephony Network Analyzer

The Telephony Network Analyzer simplifies and expedites the resolution of quality and signaling problems in IP telephony networks. It provides simple and precise diagnostics of VoIP Quality of Service (QoS) through non-intrusive measurements, including voice quality measurement technology known as predictive Mean Opinion Scores (MOS). It also provides simplified troubleshooting of call signaling and control through embedded expert analysis of VoIP protocols. The Telephony Network Analyzer supports testing over LAN and WAN networks as part of the Agilent Network Analysis and Troubleshooting Solutions. This powerful tool offers the most advanced VoIP signaling and service quality troubleshooting capabilities available:

J6766A MPLS Analysis

The Network Analyzer captures and decodes MPLS signaling and data protocols in real time and at full line rate. The analyzer diagnoses and decodes MPLS accordingly with RFC2547 bis among other MPLS standards.

The Network Analyzer filters single MPLS stack labels or complicated MPLS stacks up to 6 stacked labels. In real time, the MPLS signaling and data protocols are selected and stored in memory, eliminating undesirable packets and protocols and focusing on specific problems in the network.

In real time, the Network Analyzer creates a table of Label Switched Paths (LSPs) present in the network and measures the vital statistics of the VPN. It also creates a graphic for quick visualization. VoIP over MPLS performance is analyzed on the filtered traffic to indicate performance and trouble spots for a specific label-switch path or VPN.
The J6766A MPLS Analysis software keeps track of the different class priorities in an MPLS network specified by the EXP/QoS bits. In addition, the measurement analyzes the MPLS payload and detects the DiffServ priorities of the IP packet transported by an MPLS frame.

J6848A Report Center

Agilent Report Center helps network professionals to visualize, analyze, document, and present vast arrays of network data with ease and flexibility. Report Center merges network data collected with the Agilent DNAs, Agilent Advisor, and Agilent Voice Quality Tester product families into a common database for further analysis. The use of this high-quality, high-resolution data is unique to Report Center, and results in a level of network analysis previously unattainable with conventional tools. The powerful visualization of data statistics allows you to also use Report Center as a troubleshooting tool, in addition to network characterization and baselining.
